Who am I

Hi there, I am Claudia!

After working 12 years in the financial sector, I have decided to give up the office life to dedicate myself to my true passion: wines.

In 2015, after making such radical decision, I started to dive headfirst into this world which I find magical! I took a Sommelier Certification at Senac-SP, completed levels 2 and 3 of the WSET (Wine and Spirit Education Trust certification) and began studying oenology at IFRS in Bento Gonçalves (RS).

At that moment I was more than certain of my choice!

I then moved to Europe and dedicated myself to a master's degree in the field of oenology and wine tourism. I spent 2 years studying absolutely everything that involves the wine and had the opportunity to visit more than 100 wineries in the countries I lived: France, Spain, Portugal, Uruguay and Brazil.

Living in several countries, I was able to attend wine fairs around the world, to work in three wineries and two wine shops, to organize tasting events, to teach at gastronomy school, and even to run two harvests and winemaking internships.

With so much study and contacts around the world, I decided to start a company to teach all about wine to those who are as passionate as I am. I currently dedicate myself 100% to Claudia Melo Wines' clients and students.
